I am a higher education leader, scholar, and educator committed to advancing career education as an integral part of the student experience. My work brings together career and professional development, graduate education, experiential learning, research and assessment, employer and workforce engagement, and emerging technologies to strengthen how institutions prepare students for meaningful professional futures.
For more than 13 years, I have developed and led career education initiatives across Georgia Tech, Princeton University, Cornell University, Weill Cornell Medicine, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. While my distinctive expertise is in graduate career development, my work increasingly focuses on the larger institutional systems, partnerships, and strategies that shape career readiness across student populations. At Georgia Tech, I lead graduate career development strategy, oversee a large-scale graduate internship program, co-lead Career Readiness @ Tech for all students, and serve as Co-PI and research lead on an NSF-funded initiative examining doctoral education, industry partnerships, flexible funding, and career development.
This work began with a question I encountered during my own doctoral training: “What can I do with my Ph.D.?” That experience shaped my commitment to creating environments where students can explore and experiment with professional possibilities, develop greater clarity and confidence, and pursue meaningful careers without being confined to a single definition of success.
This website brings together my leadership, research, teaching, and career development resources. I hope it offers useful ideas and tools for students, educators, career professionals, institutional leaders, and others working to strengthen the connection between education and professional opportunity.
